The Radium fuel pump hanger allows the use of 1 or 2 aftermarket high-flow fuel pumps. The machined assembly mounts in the factory fuel tank using the OEM gasket and hardware. The fuel level sender and temperature sensors are retained, as shown below.
The pumps merge into a single port outlet with 8AN ORB threads. The crossover and return uses 6AN ORB threaded ports. To simplify plumbing, the kit includes OEM hose adapter fittings for all model years listed. Shown below is for mid model years which use a SAE quick disconnect fuel feed. There is also a return line SAE quick disconnect fitting included for newer models. Lastly, -6AN male fittings are included for those that use aftermarket feed and return hoses.
The custom designed stainless electrical studs easily handle the high current demand that compact bulkhead connectors lack. These serviceable connections are properly sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. The low profile design keeps all wiring tucked nicely underneath the OEM cover plate. Nonconductive acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuits.
Furthermore, the high quality in-tank wiring is insulated with chemically resistant ETFE. Stainless steel crimp-on ring terminals and heat shrink are provided for external wiring connections.
The kit includes a venturi jet pump with a new integrated pressure relief valve that is optimized for high flow pump(s).
The kit also includes a streamlined anodized aluminum collector box, shown below.
Unlike the 2004-2007 WRX STi OEM variation, the Radium Engineering collector box has been optimized to work in ALL gas tanks. Shown below is the smallest OEM gas tank baffle found in the model list above. It improves the fuel supply around the pump(s) inlet. There is a 1-way fill valve incorporated on the front side of the tank that flows 355LPH. It serves as a trap door keeping the pump(s) supplied with fuel during aggressive driving. Furthermore, all returning fuel from the pressure regulator return and the crossover hose enter the collector box keeping it full. The OEM fuel level and fuel temperature sensors secure to the mounting bracket.
Single pump applications can reuse the OEM fuel pump controller, but it is recommended to upgrade the wiring as high flow fuel pumps draw additional current requiring larger gauge wire. Fuel pump wiring kits can be purchased HERE. Select qty1 for single pump applications and qty2 for dual pump applications.
-Anodized Aluminum Laser Etched Plate
-Anodized Aluminum Collector Box and Check Valve
-Anodized Aluminum Venturi Jet Pump
-Anodized Aluminum Fittings for All Model Years
-Anodized Aluminum Dual Pump Mounts
-ETFE Wire with Stainless Steel Terminals
-Submersible Rubber Fuel Hose
-Stainless Steel Hardware and Clamps
There will be enough components included to use 1 or 2 fuel pumps. Depending on the setup, some parts will simply not be used. A pliable fuel pump filter sock like this HERE must be used for proper fitment. Note: This kit eliminates the OEM hanger's "post" fuel pump filter. A low micron aftermarket fuel filter should be installed downstream to protect the injectors from debris. It is recommended to use this early Subaru-specific fuel filter HERE.
This system is compatible with the following fuel pumps:
